Calisto Wedding

Topanga Canyon, well known for embracing art, culture and individuality, set the scene for the marriage of homegrown Eleni Calisto to her best friend, Jason Stewart, of Pacific Palisades. Jason came down the aisle in his family’s Royal Stewart tartan kilt preceded by bag pipes, the wedding party and, of course, their dogs. Eleni, dressed in a gorgeous, red Indian wedding dress, came down the aisle on her beloved horse, Cinch, led by her father, Fernando Calisto, while “Auld Lang Syne” was sung in Gaelic and English. The ceremony was led by a Brahmin priest that has been close to the family for many years. Family from around the world attended.

Eleni said, “We were able to keep the magic of Topanga and our cultures combined to make the most beautiful day of my life.” The younger generation does not seem to have fallen far from the Bodhi Tree!
