At the TCC it is our duty and honor to serve our community. We are able to do this through the membership fees, donations, and Topanga Days. To those who are members, Thank you! These events are able to happen because of you.
Annual Egg Hunt, Saturday, April 20. At 10 am sharp, the hunt is on, but come earlier, around 9 a.m., to engage in egg dying, egg tossing, egg rolling, and an all-round egg-cellent time. Despite hiding a large number of eggs every year, the entire hunt usually runs about 10-15 minutes. The kids may be savage (in their little-kid way), but the eggs are eco-friendly and filled with toys (no candy). As always, we are looking for volunteers willing to donate eggs and/or time. Food Truck Friday is back, April 26, 4 p.m.-dark. We are very pleased to announce that we will be having the following trucks: The Yalla Truck (Mediterranean food), Bayou Kitchen (Creole Food), Fettes Schwin (American), and a dessert truck: Black Flour Crepes. Bring your favorite beverage, invite your friends, neighbors, family, enemies, and feast. The once-a-month restaurant replacement has become one of Topanga’s most popular social events and personifies the meaning of community: at the ballfield, kids kick soccer balls around, families spread out their blankets, while others are content to set up at the picnic tables.
BINGO, Sunday, April 28, 2:30-5 p.m. TCC is hosting another fun fundraising event of “adults only” BINGO. Just $20 gets you into the game with four Bingo cards and a complimentary lemonade and pastry. Additional cards can be purchased before you start or during the break because, as everyone knows, the more cards you have, the better chance you have to win one of the fabulous prizes of cash, gift certificates, or items from local shops. A cash bar outside of the Bingo Hall is available for those who want to wet their whistle with more than lemonade. Bring your friends and neighbors to join in the fun while supporting your local community center.
