Memoir Writing Class: Everybody has a story, come write yours!

An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until March 31, 2020
Whether you want to submit your memoir for publication or just record your story for friends and family, this ten-week class will cover how to get started, how to decide what to include and what to leave out, how to structure and style your memoir and more. Memoir and general writing techniques and tips will get you on the right track for this fun and gratifying project. This class ends with a culminating event, a reading of excerpts of your work at the center. Tuesdays, 9 – 10:30, Jan. 28 through March 31. A minimum of 4 students are required. $150 for ten weeks, to be paid at first day of class. Designed and facilitated by Mary Crescenzo, award-winning and internationally published writer, poet, essayist, playwright, and blogger for The Huffington Post, Mary is a Master Teaching Artist, founding roster member of Lifetime Arts, writing instructor at Topanga Community Center and has taught creative arts workshops at Pierce College as well as in Santa Fe, New York, and in numerous locations in the U.S. and in Sicily. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA.
