Topanga Peace Alliance First Friday Film Night: The Biggest Little Farm
August 2 @ 7:15 pm - 10:00 pm
The Topanga Peace Alliance 171st Consecutive First Friday Film Night!
“The Biggest Little Farm “
Snack Pot Luck at 7:15, Movie 7:30
The Friday Film for August will be THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM. The movie chronicles the eight-year quest of John and Molly Chester as they trade city living for 200 acres of barren farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with nature. Their farm, Apricot Lane Farms, remarkably is right next door in Moorpark and you can find them every Saturday at the Calabasas Farmers Market!!!
Through dogged perseverance and embracing the opportunity provided by nature’s conflicts, the film shows how the Chesters unlock and uncover a biodiverse design for living that exists far beyond their farm, its seasons, and our wildest imagination.
Featuring breathtaking cinematography, captivating animals, and an urgent message to heed Mother Nature’s call, THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM provides us all a vital blueprint for better living and a healthier planet.
Before the film, we will have announcements regarding upcoming events and actions for peace and social justice.
After the film we will have a discussion about the advantages and challenges of local sustainable farming (speakers TBD).
