As of press time for this edition of the Messenger Mountain News, Fernwood has received 25.20 inches of rain. More rain is forecast to fall between now and when this issue actually reaches your mailbox. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric anticipates as much as three to four inches of precipitation by Friday.

As it stands now, Fernwood is 10.44 inches of rain over our average for this date, March 4th. We have received 8.51 inches of rain more than the Los Angeles Civic center and 8.01 more inches of rain than Woodland Hills. We’ve beat out the pier in Santa Monica by 9.03 inches of precipitation. This is the wettest season we’ve had since the 2010-2011 rain season eight years ago.
