LAFD Responds Swiftly to September 30 Palisades Fire

The Los Angeles Fire Department moved quickly to suppress a fast-moving two-acre blaze on Palisades Drive near Sunset on September 30. 

“The tenacious work of more than 120 firefighters, from both air and ground successfully stopped all forward progress of the fire,” the LAFD reported. Firefighters prevented the fire from reaching the property lines of the homes at the top of the hill, ensuring no damage was sustained. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
