Poet Marsha de la O, July 22

The Topanga Authors Group (TAG) features Marsha de la O, author of two award-winning books and the recipient of the 2015 Isabella Gardner Poetry Award, in the “Loose Lips” poetry series on Saturday, July 22, 2 p.m. at the Topanga Library.

Curated by Topangans Millicent Borges-Accardi and Jean Colonomos, “Loose Lips” is dedicated to bringing a diverse array of the best contemporary poets to Topanga, providing audiences and authors with a poetic forum and community, and to delivering literary events that are edgy, spiritual, inspiring and, at times, irreverent.

De la O lives in Ventura, California, with her husband, poet and editor Phil Taggart. Together, they produce poetry readings and events in Ventura County and are also the editors and publishers of the literary journal Askew.

She will be reading from her book, “Antidote for Night,” after which there is an open mic, where people are invited to read their work.

Refreshments will be provided by Friends of the Topanga Library, located at 122 N. Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Topanga, CA 90290. For more information: (310) 455-3480; colapublib.org
