Scrooge Comes to Topanga

Every idiot who goes about with “Merry Christmas” on his lips should be boiled with his own pudding and buried with a stake of holly through his heart. Bah. Humbug.

—Ebenezer Scrooge, from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Topanga Actors Company (TAC) has a special holiday treat for its fans. The intrepid and very local theater company is presenting a staged reading of Neil Bartlett’s new version of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

The dialogue in this innovative version is strictly the words of Dickens himself…no ghost writers, just ghost characters. We travel with Scrooge as he makes his way to salvation from miserly misanthrope to redeemed philanthropist, haunted by the three spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

Magical, touching, and exhilarating, this innovative version of the enduring, family-friendly holiday story, will be presented at the Topanga Library, December 14 and 15 at 2 p.m. The marvelous cast includes Stephen Hoye, Jill Cervant, Allison Davies, Micah Dyer, Karl Gombos, Jessica Hendra, Linda Molnar, Dylan Vigus.

Admission is Free! How fun is that?! Ho-ho-ho and Humbug!!!
