Arson Watch is a volunteer organization funded by the non-profit “Friends of the Arson Watch and Disaster Services, Inc. (FAWDS). Today, volunteers of all ages and backgrounds patrol the Santa Monica Mountains during periods of extreme fire weather conditions. They cover more than 185 square miles, logging between 2,500 and 4,000 total volunteer hours.
