Imagine a local limousine company that exceeds expectations with each trip and is conveniently located right in your own backyard.

Now, celebrating their 20th year, Canyon Limo Service will pick you up and take you wherever you need to go whether it be for day trips, an out-of-town trip, local appointments, or an elegant night on the town.

With their beautiful Lincoln SUV MKT Town Cars, “Magic” and “Destiny,” owners Jenise Blanc and Randy Chance transport their clients for business, pleasure, out of town and back again.

According to Blanc, Canyon Limo Service’s list of accommodations is nearly endless. They can fit your children’s car seats into the limo or will drive your own car with the car seats already installed, if preferred. That way, your vehicle doesn’t sit at the airport. They can also transport loads of luggage, golf clubs, and even surfboards.

“We take Topangans and folks from Malibu, Palisades, Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Westwood, and Venice,” Blanc said. “We drive for production companies and pick up actors all over town. We go to Las Vegas, Palm Springs, and San Diego; we have taken students to private school in Ojai. We wait for people following cataract or cosmetic surgery and pick them up from after care. We are trusted by parents to pick up their kids. When we started, we heard complaints about taxis; they don’t have what we have. If a taxi can’t find you, they go on to the next ride. We know Topanga.”

FROM NEW YORK TO L.A.

Blanc originally comes from New York and has always had a knack for entrepreneurial ventures.

“I was just ending my medical supply company after 20 years,” Blanc said. “Things started to change in the medical supply business, so after 17 years, I decided to look for something else. I started doing conventions. I had just bought a big black Mercury Mountaineer and the first thing my sister Jackie said to me was, ‘You should start a car service;’ she always has the best advice, always has ideas.’”

Before you know it, Canyon Shuttle was born in Topanga and quickly became the “go to” car service among Topangans.

“In 2004, Randy and I, as Canyon Shuttle, won the Topanga Chamber of Commerce award for Business of the Year,” Jenise says.

Later, they changed the name from Canyon Shuttle to Canyon Car Service and then, with the two Lincoln MKT Town Cars, it became Canyon Limo Service.

FAMILY TIES

Originally from Chicago, Randy Chance is a recognized guitarist and composer. He has toured with known rock bands and composed film scores. He also gives guitar and keyboard lessons in the Canyon and can often be heard playing with local bands around town and at Topanga Days.

Jenise and Randy’s daughter, actor Jennifer Blanc Biehn, is married to Michael Biehn, and their grandson, Dashiel King Biehn, 4, already attends school in Topanga. When they are not doting on their grandson, the couple dotes on their family of customers to make sure everything goes smoothly.

LUXURY LIMO SERVICE

“We priced it down to be affordable,” Blanc said. “People don’t realize they are getting Lincoln Town Cars for such affordable rates. It is service with a smile and we would rather have repeat business because of it. Young people come around [who were] burnt by Uber, a taxi, or another car service. They might have wanted to save a little money, but if their ride doesn’t show up, what are they going to do? At some point, they hear from a friend that they have to try Canyon Limo.”

Blanc says they have had so many emergencies because people’s rides didn’t show up. “They could literally hear the car go back and forth, never finding them, and missing their flights.”

Always popular among Topangans, their core business comes from people who absolutely, positively must be there on time.

“Production companies send cars for actors,” Blanc said. “We love the business and the fact that we mostly take Topangans; just about everyone in our car is a great person. We have developed major friendships in our cars because we take them over and over again. We know about their families and anything they need help with. My husband and I get so much from the business, we have grown as people, and transformed over 20 years.”

Overall, Blanc says that first-class customer service is what really drives their business.

“Even if it’s just rides to and from the airport, or returning from a long trip, tired and stressed, you can snuggle up in the back of our Town Car, feeling cozy and comfortable, and taken care of,” she said.”
