Topanga Canyon Gallery Holiday Show

The colonel. By Caroline PM Jones

Want to find unique gifts for the special people in your life? If you can’t find it here consider commissioning a portrait of your family, your pet, or a bronze sculpture of the family Matriarch or Patriarch. Wouldn’t it be grand to have Grandma’s wry smile forever enshrined in bronze? Or maybe a bronze bust of you to pass down to future generations.

This year, patrons of the Topanga Canyon Gallery will have the opportunity to commission a bronze sculpture by artist Caroline PM Jones. While it won’t be completed until 2020, Jones will create a unique print to give during the holiday season. To receive a 10% discount, reserve your order before the end of the show for the gift of a lifetime.

Jones has been creating fine art for more than 30 years and has spent as much of her life in Asia and Europe as she has in America. Her portrait work started on the streets of Gibraltar and Spain and carried on through the next decade into the far-flung regions of China, the Silk Road, Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan. Her vibrant and successful career was based out of Hong Kong as the new Chinese contemporary art market blossomed on the world stage.

This year’s holiday show is reminiscent of the reason why so many people love Topanga in the landscapes captured by Don Holtz’s photographs. Patrick Ramsey’s distinctive photography may appeal to the world travelers among us.

Add Lois York’s one-of-a-kind jewelry to your gift list. You won’t find these original designs in gold and silver anywhere but Topanga Canyon Gallery. For the ecologically minded, look for Sari Scheer’s glass sculptures, wind chimes, and earrings, all created from recycled glass wine bottles.

For coffee lovers, who else do you know who drinks from hand-made origami clay mugs? Created by Farideh Azad, they are beautiful, graceful, and unlike any mug you will find.

With such an array of paintings in oil, acrylic, pastel, and encaustic; sculpture in clay, glass and bronze; jewelry in silver, gold, glass and stone, how can you not find something extraordinary here for the extraordinary people in your life? The artists themselves will help you make this year the year your gifts shine.
