The Malibu Association of Realtors (MAR) recently donated $1,000 to Topanga Elementary Charter School’s Topanga Enrichment Program (TEP).

The donation to TEP is part of MAR’s greater mission to support local organizations that promote educational programs that serve and enhance our community.

“The Topanga members are a vital part of the Malibu Association of Realtors,” said Elaine Hanson, Realtor Board member and chair of the MAR Education Committee, who presented the donation. “Part of our association’s mission is to serve the public. It seems natural to help our elementary school to provide a wonderful education for our Topanga kids,” Hanson said.

TEP plans, funds, and operates supplemental programs to enrich the educational experience of students at Topanga Elementary Charter School. TEP fundraising provides resources for the following programs: Science, Art, Physical Education, Dynamic Arts and Theater Production, Computer and Tech Labs, Library and Literature, and the School Garden. The funds also make it possible to have additional teacher support and classroom aides making class sizes more manageable.

Stefanie Becker, who is member of MAR and the president of TEP, accepted the donation. “On  behalf of the entire Topanga Elementary School Community we express our gratitude to MAR for their generous support.
