NEW BOARD ANNOUNCED

We are pleased to announce the election of our new Board of Directors.  Patrick Ramsey, a long-time Topanga resident and extraordinary photographer, will assume the role of Board President. In addition to his ability to capture life’s intimate moments in photographs on his worldwide travels, Patrick brings to the gallery his business acumen and organizational skills.

Another new member of the Gallery, Idelle Okman Tyzbir. will continue as Board Secretary. An accomplished artist in both metal work and watercolor, Idelle has recently graced our gallery with magnificent metal, glass and wood sculptures. In addition to the work you will see at Topanga Canyon Gallery, public art is part of her business practice; she teaches both metal sculpting and watercolors primarily to adults; and as an experienced collaborator, Idelle is also involved with the Santa Clarita Artists Association, Women Painters West and with the non-profit ARTree Community Arts, which provides low-cost art [classes?] for children.

Three returning members will continue to add their skills to the Board: Gallery member Farideh Azad, a very talented and skillful artist in hot glass, clay and watercolor; Donna Geist Buch, a masterful abstract painter, multimedia artist and a drummer/musician; and Sari Scheer who creates delicate sculptures with fascinating shadows from recycled bottle glass.

Gallery members are looking forward to an exciting year, as they consider new ways to work with the community and work together to create their vision of a productive artistic environment.
