Thanks to school moms, Lisa Ward and Topanga Animal Rescue’s Susan Clark, Topanga Elementary Charter School students helped celebrate the dedication of Topanga Canyon Boulevard as a California Scenic Highway by submitting original art work around the theme, “TCB—Forever Scenic.” They were also encouraged to “Be Bold. Be Beautiful. Like Topanga!”
Winners were notified by e-mail and announced on three websites: the Topanga Town Council, the Chamber of Commerce and TASC. Susan Clark also announced the winners as part of the dedication ceremony at Theatricum where she presented their prizes of $100 for first place and $50 each for second and third place.
Every Topangan who participated in any capacity towards the success of this effort should be busting their buttons with pride. Whether the kids won a prize or not, we are so proud of all of you and you should be proud of yourselves.
