Jeremy Wolf, former Field Representative to Senator Henry Stern (SD 27) since 2016, and a familiar face to Santa Monica Mountains constituents, has been promoted to District Director.
Posting on Facebook, Stern sang Wolf’s praises: “Lucky for me and all of you who live in this region, Jeremy is a man of character, fiercely loyal to our community, who puts politics in their right place (aside) to move us all forward, and oh, by the way, he’s a great surf coach and Santa Monica Mountains outdoorsman.”
In his former position, Wolf acted as a liaison between the Senator and constituents, district organizations, local governments, and state agencies. Some of the responsibilities include keeping Stern apprised of relevant district issues, conducting research on policy issues of importance to the district, and staffing for the Senator at community events. His focus as field representative was on environmental issues and communities in the Santa Monica Mountains.
We hope he continues to serve those issues that are so important to those of us who live in unincorporated areas.
“I’m excited to be stepping into the role of District Director for Senator Henry Stern,” Wolf said on Facebook. “I am dedicated to improving the quality of life in the wild and beautiful 27th Senate District.”
Wolf is not only a serious surfer, he has taught young campers ocean safety and how to surf for the City of Malibu. Wolf has also served on the board of Save Open Space Santa Monica Mountains, a nonprofit organization that concentrates on maintaining open space, protecting wildlife, and preserving natural resources in and around the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.
