Malibu Homeless Connect Day, Nov. 29

The third Malibu Homeless Connect Day will be held at the former Malibu courthouse on Wednesday, November 29, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., with free shuttle service available for Topanga.

City, county, state, federal and nonprofit agencies will provide “free, one-stop” services to homeless people that include food stamps, Medi-Cal, affordable housing, health screenings, free haircuts, social services, care backpacks, veterans benefits and legal assistance. Free boxed lunches and hygiene kits will also be available.

There will also be help for homeless pets provided by Dr. John Lupo of Malibu Vet Clinic and Susan Clark of Topanga Animal Rescue who participated in last June’s event.

Veterans are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Free transportation to and from the event will be available at 10 a.m. at Topanga Creek General Store, 141 S. Topanga Canyon Boulevard. The event address is 23525 Civic Center Way.
