RISING FROM THE ASHES OF TRAGEDY.
Being part of such a powerful movement was bittersweet. The 2018 March for Our Lives was full of energy and forceful voices of young people demanding change. Everyone marching in unison, screaming our message to politicians, fighting for change. The streets were full and the porta-potties were many (kids know what’s important!)
I saw people, young and old, mostly young, profound expressions on signs. I took it all in, and I Marched…for Our Lives!
Our generation should never have to face these kinds of tragedies, but they keep striking, so we speak up and use our voices with power.
I am so proud to see the change we are creating, to make sure that future generations will never have to experience what others have.
Like the Phoenix, we will rise from ashes of tragedy and defeat.
