Pacific Lodge Youth Services will hold its sixth annual Autumn Lunch, a fundraiser to benefit resident at-risk boys and youths (ages 13-18) by providing services and programs to them and their families.
The event that begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 2 p.m., features raffle prizes, a holiday boutique, a silent auction and lunch. The boys will emcee the presentation, perform music and read their poems, the result of the many enrichment programs and activities provided to them.
About Pacific Lodge Youth Services—In April, the Woodland Hills organization merged with Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services (OYHFS)in Highland Park to form the largest provider of residential services exclusively for probation youth in California. As a division of OYHFS, Pacific Lodge is licensed to provide 24-hour residential care for 51 boys and operates as a community-based mental health provider. Optimist provides 24-hour residential care for 85 boys, plus four group homes for 24 boys and girls. It also has 60 children placed in foster homes and runs a charter school on its main campus with 160 high school students.
