Claire Chapman sent in these photos to the Messenger on February 27 at about 1:30 p.m. She and children, Chloe, Mila (pictured above and below right) and Tobey were amazed at what they saw dropping from the sky around their home at Tuna and Saddlepeak. Tobey declared “We went to Big Bear, then Big Bear came to us!” To which Chloe replied “Who needs Big Bear?” Claire reported, “It was surreal and beautiful. We were so filled with wonder and disbelief! There was blue sky visible, but this giant cloud over us was full of hail. It lasted for about 40 minutes and we played and played!
