Thanks to a grant from Supervisor Sheila Kuehl and the LA County Arts Commission, the Topanga Community Center will host a free Sunday Funday concert at the Community House on Sunday, October 15, from 4-7 p.m.
Making its first appearance on the TCC stage, the Urban Renewal Project, the 12-piece, LA-based band uses instruments from a bygone era to create a signature sound, blurring the boundaries between soul, jazz and hip-hop. The group performs upbeat originals and fresh interpretations from jazz standards to recent hits. They’ve toured nationally from Rockwood Music Hall to the San Jose Jazz Summerfest, and their recordings have received airplay on influential radio stations across the country, among them, KCRW-Santa Monica and WDCB-Chicago.
Food trucks will be on-hand and food and beverages will be available for purchase.
This event is sponsored by Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl and the Topanga Community Center.
