Deena Metzger has spent a lifetime investigating Story as a form of knowing and healing.
On Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m., Topanga Authors’ Group presents the acclaimed author in a reading from her latest novel, “A Rain of Night Birds,” at Topanga Library.
The novel asks the questions: What are the changes all of us have to face? What tools and supports can we draw upon for our courage, stability and resourcefulness in difficult times? What are ways we can restore wholeness personally, societally and with the earth?
The Midwest Book Review calls Metzger’s writing “Original, exceptional, inherently fascinating, and one of those all too rare novels that will linger in the mind and memory long after it has been finished and set back upon the shelf.”
The reading is free and open to the public.
