It is that magical time of year again, when Topanga Elementary school performs their renowned Spring Musical on Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17. This year the talented kiddos, mummies and daddies have put together the classic Disney Mary Poppins, Jr.
Our jolly small, local school is famous for producing musicals to Broadway standards, and this year is sure to be delightful and marvelous again. Please don’t miss out and make sure you book your tickets sharpish, chop-chop, don’t dilly-dally.
Once again, we are terribly lucky to have the local non-profit, Focusfish, collaborate with the school to take our production to the highest heights with Kristy Beauvais as the terrific director and choreographer.
We would like to thank our local Topanga Public Library for supporting us during the teacher strike earlier this year by offering up their splendid space to all the cast to continue rehearsing every day when we didn’t have access to our school. Nothing stops our kids from working to bring you the best public schoolchildren’s production you are likely to find.
Thank you to our local businesses, local library, parents, teachers, principal, for all working to bring this musical together. It is not just another tip-top, rip-roaring fundraiser for Topanga Elementary’s Visual and Performing Arts, but an enriching program for all those who take part, and this school excludes no child. Not one! We find a place for every child no matter the talent, scholarship, age, or experience.
As usual, a supercalifragilistic feast of British fayre will be served, not to mention a lovely cup of tea, along with pretty flower bouquets, and Mary Poppins-themed jewelry and charms. Thank you all for your support of our school and the esteemed theatre programme!
