The National Park Service will be hosting this year’s Allied Artists Plein Art Show at the Santa Monica Mountains Interagency Visitor Center on Saturday, April 2, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“As plein air artists, we are excited for park visitors to catch the energy where art and nature combine,” says Marnie Piuze of Allied Artists. “The show will offer a variety of paintings in an outdoor setting, the opportunity to explore the visitor center and grounds, go for a hike and free children’s crafts. There will be something for everyone!”

The event will also include original works in oil, pastel and watercolor from local artists from around the Santa Monica Mountains. Portions of funds will be donated to preservation of the environment and continuing arts in the park.

The event is co-sponsored by the Allied Artists, National Park Service and Western National Parks Association. Free parking.
