The Topanga Community Center (TCC) has a fun-filled November coming up with the news that TCC has its official Bingo license, so let’s play!
Fans of the annual Swap Meet & Chili Cookoff and Pie baking contest will look forward to Saturday, November 10, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., when people sell an array of used items and white elephants against a backdrop of food, music, and refreshments. This event is open to all TCC members and friends. On Sunday, November 11, at 3 p.m., the Topanga Symphony will present its free fall concert at the Topanga Community Center with the return of violin virtuoso Aubree Oliverson performing Violin Concerto in d minor, Op. 47 by Jean Sibelius. Also on the program are, Five Pieces for String Orchestra, Op. 44 #4 by Paul Hindemith, and Symphony #41 in C, K. 551 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. See related article
On Friday, November 16 at 7 p.m., Topanga Youth Services (TYS) Talent Show will showcase talented Topanga youth for a suggested donation of $15.
Then, it’s BINGO! Starting Sunday, November 18, 3-5 p.m., TCC welcomes adults over 21 to this fun event, enhanced with music and an energetic caller in Topanga style. Prizes vary with items donated by local businesses, gift certificates, and cash prizes. Please arrive at 2:30 p.m. so the games can start promptly at 3 p.m. A $20 buy-in includes four Bingo cards, one free lemonade and pastry. Refreshments and snacks are also available for purchase.
