“Roughing it” in Topanga

The rockslide that closed TCB at the S-curves for a week in January.

The recent closure of the S-curves to PCH for a week is a reminder that Topanga has many resources that stay open when the canyon is closed. Introduce yourself and see what’s available from our local shops. Topanga Creek General Store is the best-stocked grocery store in the canyon, while Fernwood Market has an awesome deli counter. Dine in or take out from Peter Kagan’s Canyon Gourmet in Pine Tree Circle for wine, cheese, soups, fresh produce, chocolate and much more. Lunch, dinner and weekend brunches at Canyon Bistro & Wine Bar also has live music. Rocco’s Pizzeria is a Topanga institution, located in Topanga Creek Center, and the Inn of the Seventh Ray is nearby. Café Mimosa is farther south across from Fire Station 69 and Topanga Table and Topanga Living Café, two relatively new restaurants at the north end of the Boulevard are two more resources.
