Two years ago, Topanga Elementary Charter School (TECS) formed a new subcommittee of Topanga Enrichment Programs (TEP), the Committee for Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA). It was established to explore and provide new opportunities for the students at TECS. Much has been accomplished in this short time and, a year ago, a dedicated art room was established on campus in anticipation of hiring an art teacher. The room has been a great success with classroom teachers, parent volunteers, and students.
VAPA representatives worked with the Curriculum Committee and Leadership Council at the school to solidify details for the art teacher position that were finally approved.
We are pleased to announce that resumes are being accepted for a part-time art teacher.
